SASSA Grant Reapplication Process
Following the lifting of the Disaster Management Act by the government in April 2022 wherein the processing of the R350 covid grant applications was stopped, a new order has been introduced by the Department of Social Development to facilitate the continuation of the R350 grant.
SASSA spokesperson Paseka Letsatsi stated that the R350 grant will now be provided under the Social Assistant Act which was proclaimed on the 22nd of April 2022.
SASSA officially announced on their social media pages about the SASSA R350 SRD grant reapplication process, encouraging new and old beneficiaries to re-apply. This comes with a few changes to the application process as requirements are tighter.
