Postbank has since updated the masses stating that the systems glitch has been resolved on Saturday the 5th of November 2022 and all transactions made by beneficiaries over the ATM and retailers have been successful.
SASSA social grants recipients who have SASSA gold cards can now pick up their grant funds at ATMs and shops around the country.
All grant beneficiaries are encouraged to proceed to withdraw their money at ATMs and retail stores nationally that offer cashback capability, such as Shoprite, Checkers, Usave, Pick & Pay, and Boxer.
As the SASSA gold cards function completely within the national payments system similar to any other bank card, recipients of SASSA grants can also use them to make purchases at any location that accepts bank card transactions.
As of 7 November 2022, Postbank is keeping an eye on the system functioning within Post Office branches and will notify beneficiaries of any changes.
